We had a fun-filled day of learning!
Unit Study:
We used our communication and critical thinking skills to solve an Amelia Earhart Word Search, also explaining how the words relate to Amelia.
The kids enjoyed Chapter 4 of our book, Amelia Earhart-More than a Flier. They were amazed at how challenging her first solo flight was!
Next, we used our algebraic and critical thinking skills to analyze a Pictorgraph with flight-related items. The kids extended their learning by creating their own question based on the Pictorgraph.
We stretched our convergent thinking with two logic puzzles. One involved time. This is a concept some need to practice more. Later, we continued our work with Pictographs by creating our own in the "Spin Graphing Game." The kids enjoyed taking turns and did a great job analyzing the data to answer the questions!
We created a poster to share our findings from our math activity last week-"Myth Busters" Takes on the Breakfast Bunch.
Finally, we shared some "All About Me" boxes. It was fun to see all of the important things for each child!
Have a wonderful Fall Break!
