We started the day with a review of our Multiple Intelligence Surveys. The kids were interested to see which areas were strongest and weakest for each of them. We took this data and learned to create pictographs, as well as bar graphs from it.
Our story for the week was called Scaredy Mouse. The kids enjoyed the role reversal with "scaredy cat" and how the mouse learned to be brave. It's an important message for them.
Later in the day we practiced our mindfulness skills to help us with concentration and learning how to calm our minds. Here are the videos we viewed clips from: Enchanted Forest and Hidden Treasure.
The kids challenged their convergent thinking skills with some logic puzzles, online games (Robot Builder, Secret Codes, and Patterns) and a two hundred piece jigsaw puzzle. Check out the finished puzzle and the finished product of their "Heart of Target" puzzle. It took lots of teamwork to solve these challenges.
Until next week,
