Algebraic Thinking:
We used our critical and algebraic thinking skills to continue our work on the Vitruvian Man. Next time, we'll be comparing our measurements against da Vinci's Vitruvian Man. We also used our critical thinking and math skills to solve two brainteasers about Leonardo.
Later, we used our math skills to play Time Bingo. They all did well telling time to the hour, but time to the half hour was very challenging. We'll play again in a few weeks. Might be good to practice a bit at home.
Unit Study:
We read another chapter of our book. This time, Leonardo got upset when his fresco was ruined. He ran away, but Annie and Jack went after him to help him out.
We also practiced our Italian with "Numbers Song", "Good Morning" and "The Colors". The kids are doing great with this!
Stations:
We used our divergent thinking to transform feathers-SO creative! The kids used their evaluative thinking to play Connect Four. They loved it! Great for problem-solving! Finally, the kids researched Leonardo's inventions and created their own inventions. Love their ideas!
Until next time,
Dr. Kraeger
