What a wonderful day with my Littles! They are so enthusiastic about learning!
Convergent Thinking:
We worked together to examine what was happening in a picture of a party at Crystal Pond Woods. First we figured out it was a birthday party because of the cake with candles on it. Then we had to find out whose birthday it was. Luke was able to figure out it was the Owl's because there were many candles and he is older than the other animal standing next to the cake. Good job on that logical thinking!
We continued using our Logical Thinking to solve two logic puzzles. Check out their great work in the photos below!
Affective Skills:
The kids absolutely loved hearing a read aloud of Chrysanthemum. What a sweet story! I love how Wesley said, "This is the juicy part!" at a crucial point in the story! We discussed how fun it is to have a unique name or something else that is different from everyone else. The kids followed up with a delightful reflection on "Things that Make them Wilt" and "Things that Make them Bloom". Love their big hearts and creativity in this work!
Until Next Time,
