We worked more on logic puzzles. The kids are learning how to solve harder puzzles! They're doing a great job with their logical thinking!
We learned a new way to solve problems! We used Versatiles to solve pre-algebra problems. The kids showed enthusiasm and persistence in learning how to use the Versatiles kit to show solutions to the problems. When they're done, they can self-check by flipping the kit over to see the color pattern.
We worked with pattern blocks to create our own patterns and then used the blocks to create shapes such as: Rose, Chick, Duck, and Rabbit. Very tough, but the kids persevered!
The kids used their divergent thinking to create a machine from "Spare Parts" to help Sybil the Scientist get across Crystal Pond Woods. Check out their wonderfully creative solutions in the photos below.
We used our collaboration skills to play "Pass the Hula-Hoop". The kids easily thought of a way to solve the challenge. Putting it into practice was pretty challenging for these Littles, but they were successful!
We also watched, "A Bad Case of Stripes" and discussed how we don't have to change ourselves to fit in. The kids used their creativity to invent a "Bad Case of...". The results are adorable and so imaginative! Take a look below!
Until next time,
