Stations:
We finished up our convergent thinking activity, Freddy's Frog, and our Divergent thinking task, SCAMPER A Frog, and also our algebraic thinking task-Math Mosaic.
Algebraic Thinking:
We challenged our critical thinking and math skills with a variety of problems to solve. The kids enjoyed collaborating and using different strategies to come to correct solutions.
Unit Study:
We tackled our next set of Frog Vocabulary-main body parts, as we continue to research and learn about our topic. The kids also viewed our dissection videos to familiarize themselves with exactly what the inside of the frog will look like. They had some great questions during our video!
We worked on our Frog Projects today too! The kids will have one more session in class to work and then will present their Frog Projects on May 1st.
Affective Skills:
We continued our work on teamwork, collaboration, perseverance, and problem-solving with a Breakout. The kids had to use many critical thinking skills to solve ciphers, math puzzles, visual puzzles, and word puzzles to find clues that would open the locks.
Novel Study:
We read a bit more of our novel, learning some background information about the Vietnam War. The kids had some excellent insights and remarkable questions about the War, it's causes, and the potential results.
