Unit Study:
We learned more about Climate Action with a research article that the kids read a section of and shared that section with the group. They learned a lot! The kids also watched an impassioned plea about Climate Action from 16 year old Greta Thunberg to the United Nations. What an impression it made on the kids!
Algebraic Thinking:
We worked on more challenging word problems today using our Hands On Equations concepts. The kids did a great job!
Stations:
The kids crushed another Fallen Phrase puzzle from our novel. It was HARD, but they used their knowledge, resources and teamwork to solve it! They used their creativity to collaborate on a giant Global Goals poster. It is amazing! Check out the results below! We had the chance to use our convergent thinking to solve some jigsaw puzzles too!
Novel Study:
We read several chapters from our novel today. We found out Mia's plan to help her family. Fingers crossed that it works! Lucky for us, both of the sequels to Front Desk are at our Book Fair! The kids are so excited!
Affective:
We continued our Mindfulness Practice. The kids can settle right into a deep calm so quickly now!
Until next time,
Dr. Kraeger
