Learning Huddles made for a nice "Soft Start" to our morning! The kids are having so much fun, while developing their collaboration and divergent thinking skills. Convergent Thinking: We strained our brains and definitely maximized collaboration to solve our Fallen Phrase puzzle. It was hard, but now we're practically experts! Algebraic Thinking: We continued our Hands On Equations lessons to deepen our understanding of strategies to solve more complex equations. Unit Study: The kids are working hard on their Survivor Projects. We will finish printing and assemble the finished chapters next week. Novel Study: We read a bit more of our novel, finding out about Henry David Thoreau and Sasparilla Trees. It's such a nice way to end our day with the gentle lovely world of the mountain forest from this Newberry Honor Book. Affective Thinking: We finished our "Perfect Square" Project, although not all the posters are ready for display yet. The kids used their divergent thinking to create some incredible images from their squares! We continued our Mindfulness Practice with Tranquility Moments.
