Algebraic Thinking:
We learned about Ordered Pairs and then applied that skill with our creativity to reveal Mystery Pictures. After we finished the first one, we moved on to the Extreme Challenge. The turned out AMAZING!
Unit Study:
We shared our Games, evaluated the finished products, and reflected on the Game Creation Experience. The kids provided some insightful reflections both on the games, and on the creation process itself!
Novel Study:
We finished our book! We also took some time to answer some critical thinking questions with inferencing, evaluation, and figurative language. After that, the kids chose to created either a new chapter, or a new ending for the book. If you're interested, there is a sequel to this book. It's called, The Third Mushroom. It got great reviews on Amazon, so I'm sure any kiddo might like it!
Target will resume on January 10th, with a half day class to welcome our new classmates and kick off our new Unit!
Wishing you a Peaceful and Joyous Holiday Break!
