We continued our study of games by playing a variety of board games. What a thrill! Our game session was followed by a writing response evaluating and analyzing the games played and other classic games. From there, we created a KWL chart to determine what we know about games and what questions we still have. This chart will help us in our research next week as we prepare to create our games.
Affective & Relationship/Connections:
We read a There's a Monster Under My Bed, which was filled with chills. The kids continued the activity with an activity where they reflected on their biggest fears and then they created a drawing to represent those fears. This reflection process will hopefully allow some of these fears to be released or at least minimized.
Novel Study/Critical Thinking:
Our reading of The Gollywhopper Games continued with an exciting chapter about Gil's success in the latest Game Challenge. The kids are learning more and more about the importance of teamwork and collaboration through reading this book!
