Unit Study:
We stretched our convergent thinking skills with a Perspective-related Cryptogram. It was hard, but the kids plowed through to solve it! Next, the kids compared and contrasted different accounts of Paul Revere's famous Midnight Ride. We are evaluating how perspective impacts storytelling.
Our math activity focused on statistics and how they can represent data differently. The kids learned about Mean, Median, and Mode by practicing calculating some of each.
Novel Study:
We continued reading Ungifted, which is a humorous story told from the perspective of different characters at the Academy for Scholastic Distinction. The kids used their evaluative and divergent thinking to create a scene from the book showing the perspective of one of the characters. I love the creativity they show through humor!
HW: Watch "Liberty Kids-The Midnight Ride" and answer Seesaw questions.
Until next time,
