Unit Study:
The kids presented their Perspective Projects. We had such an interesting variety of topics--from debates to overviews of historical figures to statistics about sports teams/players to visual/optical illusions. I can see the hard work the kids put in by their finished projects! Look for their Rubrics w/feedback by email with their Progress Reports in the first week of January.
Novel Study:
We finished our novel, Ungifted. The kids cheered at the end because it was just so good! Surprise--Each day, I'm uploading a chapter of the sequel-Supergifted. It will be on TEAMS for the kids.
Algebraic Thinking:
We finished up Hands On Equations with one more lesson. The kids will get a review of that lesson when we come back to class in January. Then, we'll start to incorporate Word Problems with our Hands On Equations. It'll be a big challenge for sure, and I know these kiddos are up to it!
Stations:
We worked on some divergent thinking with a December SCAMPER and also illustrating a favorite scene from Ungifted. The kids also challenged their math skills with a Mystery Coordinate Graphing activity. They can upload the results to TEAMS.
Please make sure the kids have finished all their work on Seesaw by January 4th, so feedback on work can be finalized to include in our Gifted Progress Reports.
Enjoy your Holiday Break!
Wishing you all good things for the New Year!
