Algebraic Thinking:
We started Hands On Equations with our new Target friends and continued where we left off for our returning students. The kids did a great job!
Unit Study:
We continued our research for Genius Hour Projects. The kids will have about 5 more class work sessions to get their research done and prepare a way to share what they've learned. They are off to a strong start!
Stations:
We used our divergent thinking to create a paragraph about ourselves in the style of our novel, Ungfited. The writing was excellent! Loved their inights! The kids also used their divergent and evaluative thinking to create a plan to help someone escape from detention, just like the main character in our book did. Their plans were clever and just a bit devious! We also used our convergent thinking to solve logic puzzles. The new kids did a fantastic job! They're ready for harder puzzles!
Novel Study:
We read a bit more and also challenged our critical thinking skills with a Kahoot! game. The kids love the challenge of this game!
Until next time,
Dr. Kraeger
