We started with something new-Station Rotations! This is a different way to spend our learning time doing divergent thinking by collaborating on a Creative Problem Solving activity and using convergent thinking to solve logic puzzles. The kids did a wonderful job and I was amazed at their ability to work well in groups and really pull in so many amazing ideas for their projects.
We spent some time learning about our strengths and talents by doing a Multiple Intelligence Survey. Those will come home next week in the Target Binders.
Moving on to Algebraic Thinking with a pre-assessment of Hands-On-Equations. We'll take a look at what we know, before we move forward into new challenges with our algebra learning.
We heard about Bret's exciting STEM camp this summer! He brought in the model car he designed and raced at the camp. Lots to discuss about design, physics, engineering, and even 3D printing!
We ended with a preview of our novel study, Ungifted. We'll be ordering those books next week, so look for some information to come home soon.
Thank you for signing the assignment sheet each week! :)
Homework: Check the Target Glog for the answer to this question:
How many sites are listed on the Science Websites page?
Can't wait to see this terrific bunch again next week!
