We had a day filled with surprises! There was an amazing Chess Workshop by "Kids' Chess" to work on critical thinking! The kids had a great time! Later we went outside to play a fun team-building game called "Key Punch". The kids had to work together to complete a number task. Good communication skills saved the day!
Convergent Thinking:
We're working through our more difficult logic puzzles. The kids are definitely making progress as their skills improve.
RBQ-Focus Study:
We extended our bat research with small group questions this week. The kids prepared for their research by completing graphic organizers about "Purpose of the Research", "Unpacking the Research Question". It helps to get our research off to a good start when we know exactly what we want to find out.
Vocabulary Building:
We started our quest to build our college ready vocabulary today! We began reading Weighty Words, which a book filled with really tough vocabulary words explained through funny stories.
HW: Vocabulary Sheets, finish logic puzzles, finish Milo Comic (from last week)
