Despite our short time together this week, due to field day, we had a wonderful last day for the year!
We celebrated some wonderful achievement in First in Math! The kids are doing a fantastic job! For all those math lovers, First in Math access for our students continues all the way through July! So on those rainy afternoons, remind the kids about FIM and they can keep their math skills strong!
Next, we presented our Egyptian Scrolls. This has been a long project, and the kids have learned quite a bit along he way. All groups demonstrated their deep knowledge of The Book of the Dead, which was the main focus of our research. We also discussed how to evaluate information, stay on track, and move to completion in long research projects. Quite a learning experience for this group!
We enjoyed the sharing of the BEST transformations of the whole year! The kids did a fabulous job showcasing their divergent and creative thinking skills, in both their drawings and their stories. Great work, kids!
We finished up with a fast and furious read through the rest of our Weighty Words book. The final word was "zealous" and the kids compared it to "The Shark Tank" TV show. Yep, they got it!
Thank you for trusting me with your precious children. They inspire me, make me laugh, and surprise me every single day! They are an amazing group of kids who have big things ahead in their futures! I couldn't ask for anything more! :)
