Here's an overview of our day:
We started with a getting to know you activity to build our teamwork and collaboration. This was a fun way to prepare for our next activity which was a problem solving task called "Saving Fred". Check out the photos below:
Today was our first day of Hands-On-Equations for third grade this year. The kids did really well solving basic algebraic equations using manipulative pieces with self-checking.
We also stretched our creativity with a divergent thinking activity: F2OE working on Fluency, Flexibility, Originality, and Elaboration. Ask your child about it and check out their work next week when they finish up that task.
We'll be tackling our new unit next week, Robots and coding. It's going to be a blast! The kids are SO ready to get started!
HW: Ch1 Fluency/Elaboration Activity
Until next week,
