We had a blast working on convergent, divergent, and evaluative thinking skills during Station Rotations. We also discovered some things about ourselves through our affective work in self-reflections about our fears.
We followed that with Hands-On-Equations, so we could brush off our algebraic thinking skills. Our returning students tackled word problems to translate them into equations for solving. Our new students began learning all about algebra through Hands-On-Equations. They learned to solve equations like: x + 2 = 9 or 2x = x + 2.
We finished up with a review of our novel study, From the Mixed Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler. We can't wait to jump back into the story and see what happens next!
