With our wacky schedule for Conference Week, we only had our Target kids this week. Reading and Math Extension will continue next week.
Stations:
We stretched our convergent thinking skills with a couple of logic puzzles. The kids are getting the hang of these! We also used our convergent and evaluative thinking to determine how to categorize the creatures in Sybil's Lab. Stay tuned for photos of the finished work next week!
Unit Study:
We explored more about Amelia with some books. The kids had fun learning new things about Amelia as they read independently or with a partner.
Affective Skills:
We enjoyed a Halloween read aloud to work on our affective skills. In Trick or Treat, Smell My Feet, a character faces an unexpected situation that could be embarrassing. Instead of being embarrassed, he shows courage and moves past it. The kids shared times then they showed courage.
Until next time,
Dr. Kraeger
