Then, we moved on to Hands On Equations. Groups based on skill gaps from the H.O.E assessments we took before the break. After some grumbling about "This is easy! We don't need to review!" We got some very good review time and filled the gaps, so the concepts are strong now!
We moved on to syllogisms and inferences, both challenging our convergent and critical thinking. Several students said the inferences were "Making my brain hurt!" I guess we're providing a challenge! :)
We also used collaboration, communication, and listening skills to do "Back-to-Back" drawing. Lots of fun, but harder than it looks!
Later we worked on affective skills with a Growth Mindset video and exit slip. We ended the day by finishing our novel, Ungifted.
