Algebraic Thinking:
We learned a fun new math game today, called BACON! It involves strategy, math computation, and luck. The kids had a blast!
Unit Study:
We finished our Genius Hour Project Plans today. Please take a look at your child's Plan to see if it seems reasonable to you. If so, please sign and send back in your child's Target Folder. The kids have started some research on their topics, so they may want to work a bit at home also.
Novel Study:
We read a bit more of our novel, finding out more about our main characters and about their mysterious teacher.
Affective Skills:
We watched a video about Diana Nyad's successful swim from Cuba to Key West. The kids were enthralled with her story of adventure and persistence.
We continued our mindfulness practice with "Why Do Humans Experience Anxiety?"
Stations:
We stretched our convergent thinking skills with a choice of a Perplexor or a Grid Style Logic Puzzle. We used the divergent thinking skills to create amazing solutions for our January F2OE.
