today's inspiration:
Check out the Target Glog for more information about the project!
It covers almost ALL of our gifted standards in a way that is truly engaging for our students and honors their individual voices.
Convergent & Algebraic Thinking:
We worked in stations today to stretch our minds with logic puzzles and also hone our Algebraic thinking with Hands On Equations. Good progress today!
Affective:
We explored our self-reflection and self-directed learner skills through some mindfulness practice with a video called Calm Down and Release your Amygdala. We learned that the amygdala is the part of the brain that makes us feel anxious.
Classcraft-We set up our team names, our Game names, and our game roles. We also learned a little bit about gaining and losing points and how the powers work. This will help strengthen those organizational, collaborative, and self-reflective skills that are so important in life!
Ungifted- We met a new character, Chloe, and learned that being in the Gifted Magnet School isn't all it's cracked up to be!
HW: Edmodo-Tell us your Genius Hour Project idea and discuss with your parent. Report back what your parent thinks about the idea.
Unabashedly yours,
