We got started on our Frog Projects right away, with the kids making great progress! We are VERY excited to see the variety of projects we have this year--Lots of interesting frogs and ways to share what we've learned!
We used our convergent thinking skills to solve two different puzzles, both were about FROGS! The first puzzle was a visual challenge, while the second was more like our regular logic puzzles. Later, we combined the convergent and algebraic thinking skills to solve Number Pattern Puzzles. Those were very difficult, so we'll continue them next week.
We used critical and algebraic thinking to tackle a Math Stars problem solving activity. The kids did well, even though we had a few new concepts to learn (mean, median, mode).
We had a great time trying "Back to Back" Drawing with some Frog pictures. They were pretty difficult, so the kids learned a lot about communication skills and giving good directions.
We finally finished our novel! The kids loved the book, especially the ending. It is a fantastic story! I can see why the kids loved it so much.
We're looking forward to a VERY special activity next week. I'll be sending out another note on REMIND, just in case you missed the first one. SHHH! It's a secret! Please don't reveal the details!
