Stations:
We stretched our convergent thinking skills with a Logic Puzzle-Ugly Holiday Sweaters. We also stretched our divergent thinking skills with a December F2OE. The kids are becoming SO creative in their solutions for each part of this task!
Novel Study:
We finally finished our Survivor Novels, and celebrated our Unit with a Survivor Video-"Trouble River". The kids enjoyed this throw-back children's movie, and were able to analyze the character traits the character used to survive the extreme danger!
Algebraic Thinking:
We enjoyed a festive math mystery, a Mystery Picture, revealed as the kids graphed ordered pairs.
Unit Study:
Over the last few weeks, the kids have been working hard to create projects sharing their knowledge from their survivor research. We enjoyed sharing these projects in class, and reflecting on what we learned from this project experience.
We will start Target Classes again on January 9th, with a half day. This will help us make our new classmates welcome and kick off our new semester.
Have a Peaceful and Joyous Holiday Break!
