We started the day with some work on the scenes for our play. The kids revised scripts, completed props, and rehearsed. Lots of great collaboration helped get the job done. We even had some groups helping each other with script revisions to make sure the scenes aligned to tell the whole story. That's great teamwork to get the job done. We filmed a couple of scenes and will film the rest next week. After that, we'll compile the scenes into a complete movie using a green screen app called, "DoInk". The kids will be searching for images/videos to use as their backdrop, in place of the Green Screen. Can't wait to see what they come up with!
We also challenged our convergent thinking with a logic puzzle and stretched our divergent and mathematical thinking with a holiday mystery picture involving ordered pairs. Later on, we stretched those math problem-solving and algebraic thinking skills even further with a Math Stars that involved permutations, combinations, area, algebra, geometry, and map reading. Whew! They did a great job on that, with a few helpful hints!
No HW this week.
Until next week,
