Novel Study: We read some more of our novel, Theodore Boone, Kid Lawyer. Theo is faced with a big ethical dilemma: protect his friend's cousin by not revealing that the cousin is an important witness in the trail or tell the judge about the witness and risk that his friend's cousin will be deported. Tough choice! What will Theo do? We'll find out next time!
Focus Study: We created a model of the digestive system using clay. Each group had to share their model and explain how food moves through the digestive system, as well as the function of each organ in the system. The kids are definitely learning about the frog's systems! They did pretty well with this today! Research: We worked with Mrs. Kindschy to find out about web-based computer applications that might be useful in our Frog Research Projects. Check out the list of project ideas on our Frog Glog, via the Target Glog! Frog Project: We thoroughly discussed the rubric and project expectations, including the April 22nd due date. Please take a look at your child's rubric and discuss it with him or her. Logical Thinking: We squeezed in some logical thinking by working on, what else, a frog logic puzzle! Not everyone finished it because of Picture Day, but they can catch up next time.
