We had a most exciting and wonderful day in Target as the kids finished their small group movies. They amazed me with their creativity, dedication, teamwork, and sense of humor. I hope you'll enjoy watching them, as much as the kids enjoyed making them. One more movie to come tomorrow! Our Day at Chalker What Makes Chalker Unique? A Day at Chalker Where Chalker Is Target Classes will resume the week of January 11th. Look for a letter home on Friday, Jan 8th with more details.
Have a most wonderful Holiday Break! Yours, Dr. Kraeger

It was such a fantastic experience to share our movies with our biggest fans! Thank you to all who came out for our "Premiere Party" today! The kids loved hearing your laughter, applause, and especially the positive comments! In case you missed the Premiere, you can check both of the videos here: Target Takes on Cardboard Challenge Cardboard Challenge-Target Style__ After viewing our movies, we worked on evaluating and reflecting on the movie making process. The kids discussed potential changes they would make to future movies.
Then the kids took a look at Schools of Earth, which features movies about the day in the life of students around the world. In small groups, they decided what topics to feature in their movies. Next each group decided on a theme for their movies, as a focus for their photos and videos. The next step was to choose a Movie Trailer theme from iMovie. Each group then set out around the school to begin capturing photos and video for their movies. The kids made excellent progress today and are excited to finish these movies next week. The movie making process works on so many of our standards including: Collaboration, Respect for Others, Communication, Research, Critical Thinking, Evaluative Thinking, Problem Solving, and Logical Thinking. HW: Edmodo- Describe your group's progress, including any stumbling blocks, successes, questions, or ideas for next week. See you in the movies, Dr. Kraeger |
