Convergent:
Our convergent thinking wasn't the usual logic puzzles today, but "Daffynitions"! The kids loved the challenge of finding the "Punny" ways of defining words!
Algebraic Thinking:
We finished Lesson 1 in Hands On Equations. The kids had time to check out one of the great sites on our "Mo Math" LiveBinder--Pan Balance. This is a virtual representation of our balanced equations concepts. Great practice with multiple levels to challenge all kids!
RBQ: Bat Research
We finished our small group research about our bat questions in the computer lab today. Next week the kids will create a way to share their findings.
Affective:
We compared and contrasted the character trait of courage as found in our novel, and the book Courage, by Bernard Waber. The kids took this comparison to the next level by adding examples of courage from their own lives.
Vocabulary:
We continued with our study of "college" words-Letter B: Bifurcate. Ask your child what it means!
Novel Study:
We read a bit more of our book. No, Milo isn't perfect yet, but he's getting closer!
HW: Weighty Words-Bifurcate, if not finished in class
Yours always,
Mrs. Kraeger
