Convergent Thinking:
Great critical thinking to solve some more difficult logic puzzles today! They're really getting the hang of these!
RBQ-Focus Study:
We started our Bat research in class with the question: "Why do bats come out at night?" The kids discussed and recorded the reason for our research, our audience, questions about the main words in our topic, and findings about the topic. They're learning how to become better researchers!
Algebraic Thinking:
We broke into the first lesson of our algebra program-Hands On Equations (H.O.E.). The kids did very well with the initial concepts of variables and keeping the equations in balance. Great work!
Communication/Divergent Thinking:
The kids shared their Broccoli Transformations and stories. They all did a fantastic job! So much creativity--WOW!
Novel Study/Affective Skills:
We continued reading our book, How to Be Perfect in Three Days. The focus was on character change in this chapter. Boy, did some funny things happen to Milo!
HW: Visit the Target Glog to see our Comic Creator. Create a comic strip about some ways that Milo changed in the chapter. Your comic should be 3 or 6 panels. Print it out, if you can. You can also create a comic on paper, if that works better for you.
Until Next Week!
